Chery Luxeed V9: a spacious luxury MPV with Huawei technology
Luxeed V9 — a spacious luxury MPV with an extended-range engine, which Chery produces under the Luxeed brand in collaboration with the Huawei HIMA alliance. In this article, we review its design, features, and what buyers need to know.
Luxeed V9 at a glance
Luxeed V9 is a spacious luxury MPV, which Chery produces under the Luxeed brand in collaboration with the Huawei HIMA alliance. It's the first MPV to be sold under any HIMA brand.
The 'V' in the name stands for 'victory', while the number 9 signifies flagship status in the HIMA lineup. Pre-sales in China began on April 22, 2026, and it made its debut at the Beijing Motor Show on April 26.
Design and interior
The V9 features a spacious design with short overhangs, a long wheelbase, and a wide light bar running across the front and rear. Instead of hidden ones, it uses conventional mechanical door handles.
The interior is a three-row, six-seater, with 'zero-gravity' front seats. The second-row seats are electrically adjustable, with heating, ventilation, leg rests, and can recline up to 180 degrees.
Technology
The car is built on the Chery E0X-L platform, features a dual-camera pneumatic suspension (adjustable up to 50 mm) and rear-wheel steering up to 7 degrees. It uses the Huawei ADS driver assistance package and HarmonyOS infotainment.
According to reports, the Huawei DriveONE transmission and 800 V platform are used. Both extended-range and electric versions are offered; check the exact power and range figures with the manufacturer's official data.
What to check when buying a Luxeed V9
Since the model is very new, the most important things are the warranty, dealer network, and software updates. Make sure the car is officially sold in your country.
If you're buying used, check the air suspension, screens, driver assistance systems, charging port, and battery condition.
